True Romance
If the most favorable misunderstanding is to be the essence of "romance", our longing for nature is just "romance". A text on work "True Romance" is the word of our blood being hurt by impossibility to assimilate with nature.
A transparent acrylic board that one can see through the green landscape is a symbol of a wall being invisible. An iron pipe for construction is a trace of the human act that wants to approach nature as "Tower of Babel".
For us, what are "nature" and "outside" ?

最も好意的な誤解が「ロマンス」の本質であるとするなら、私たち人間の自然への憧憬はまさに「ロマンス」である。作品『True Romance』の言葉は、自然との同一化の不可能性によって傷ついた私たちの血の言葉だ。
緑の風景が透けて見えるアクリル板は見えない壁のシンボルであり、工事用鉄パイプは、バベルの塔のごとく自然に近づこうとする私たち人間の、実体化した営みの痕跡だ。
私たちにとって「自然」とは「外部」とは何だろうか？
